I’m Sandenn Killoran. I live in South Tetagouche, New Brunswick, and I’ve spent my career betting on places most spreadsheets write off.
I served as a municipal councillor in Belledune from 2016 to 2021, where I learned the most expensive line item in any community budget: the cost of doing nothing. I’ve spent nearly two decades building and running companies from Northern New Brunswick — digital, learning, and software businesses that compete well beyond it. Along the way I picked up an MBA in entrepreneurship and innovation, and a conviction that the same forces reshaping the world — technology, capital, demographics — hit communities first and hardest, and that the people in them deserve a clear-eyed translation.
That’s what this site is. The podcast and the writing here are my working notes on one question: How do we get people in small towns to care about what is going on in this big world?
Inaction has compounding interest. This is me paying attention — out loud.
